McKeyla Presley Elizabeth McAlister (also known as The Owl) is the main protagonist of the Project mc2 live action series. She is a student at Maywood Glen Academy. She is also a spy, as such she attempts to save the world (with the help of her friends). She is the second born daughter of Molly and Max McAlister, making her Maddy's sister.
Appearance[]
McKeyla has brown hair and pale skin. She has deep brown eyes "with flecks of hazel" and frequently wears glasses but she doesn't wear them sometimes. Her outfits, which are trendy and chill, vary from episode to episode. Since she is supposed to be undercover, McKeyla doesn't wear flashy clothes or jewelry.
Personality[]
McKeyla is very intelligent and has a mature personality. She often incorporates scientific or technical terms into what she says. She is extremely straightforward and blunt which sometimes causes her to come off as stingy. McKeyla is shown to call someone out if they are being rude. She likes to please and will go out of her way to make sure that she completes any of her missions to the height of her ability. She can over think and act little shy as well. Plus, she cares about her friends and family since she felt bad about her father's disappearance and was emotionally hurt when she thought that Maddy betrayed her and the others.

McKeyla is widely versed in a number of different subjects and fields because of her involvement in NOV8. She particularly excels at forensics and criminology.
Background[]
From when McKeyla was a baby to when she was five, she was raised in Maywood Glen and formed a bond with her family. However, McKeyla’s father disappeared after being accused of theft by Bobby Stone. McKeyla felt heartbroken, Maddy felt angry about that and it was hard on Molly as well. Every time there was a phone call or when someone came to the entrance door, McKeyla prayed it was him but it never was. At the age of ten, McKeyla made a wish that he would come home. When he didn't, she had to give up on him. Eventually, McKeyla, Maddy and The Quail began moving around the country for various missions. At one point, she had a mission in Brazil where she learned to play soccer and was tasked with the notorious mission of the Bengal Tiger, which she refuses to talk about. When they finally decided to settle in Maywood Glen, McKeyla had the chance to make real friends.
Trivia[]
- McKeyla suffers from arachnophobia (a fear of spiders).
- She doesn't really know her father. This possibly meant that he was very busy and didn't spend enough time with his family when McKeyla was growing up. Additionally, Max hasn't spoken to his daughter that much but did communicate with McKeyla when she got her driver's license.
- She even commented that origami figures are her and Max's thing. Those are pieces of what was left of him at the time and she saved them all. In fact, they were clues to help McKeyla find out the truth about his wrongful accusation.
